BCBE Construction Wins Award for Vanderbilt Fitness Center

BCBE Construction was awarded a Sand Dollar on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from the Collier Building Industry Association at the 2014 Sand Dollar Awards Gala at the Ritz Tiburon in Naples, Florida. BCBE won for the Vanderbilt Country Club Fitness Center and Terrace Cafe in the Commercial Remodel category.

The Terrace Cafe is an open air structure in a transitional style with European influences and is the hub of activity for the active-minded member. This outdoor location services those lounging at the pool, playing tennis, or those simply wanting to enjoy a casual breakfast or lunch al fresco, Florida style.

The Fitness Center is approximately 5,000 square feet of conditioned air space and includes an exercise room, men's and women's locker rooms, comfort suites and an aerobics studio. This amenity affords the Vanderbilt membership a variety of fitness options, including: golf fitness programs, cardio and strength training and multiple aerobic classes. It truly meets the individual fitness and wellness needs of the Vanderbilt member, no matter the desired level.

BCBE Construction was also a team member of a Sand Dollar award winning project, Best Kitchen Renovation for a Private Residence. The kitchen was completely remodeled with new custom cabinetry, quartz countertop, Wolf and Subzero appliances, and Kohler Margaux plumbing fixtures. The island was redone to accommodate seating inside the kitchen.

Renovating a 1970s Naples Condo in Wilderness Country Club

BCBE Construction & Custom Homes had the privilege of being the general contractor for a really fun condo remodel project in the prestigious Wilderness Country Club community located in Naples, Florida.

The customer knew when purchasing this 1970s condo that is was going to be needing that extra special remodeling attention and with the right general contractor, architect and designer, it turned out beautifully. 

BCBE teamed up with Architect Rod Ashmore, Ashmore & Associates, out of Bonita Springs, Florida, for some of the drawings and then we went to work with the demo and renovation. Karen Cabral of Cabral Design Associates, Naples, FL, completed the interior design of the condo. 

This renovation was total condo remodeling project...BCBE touched every room by updating it with today's features.

BCBE removed walls, flooring, cabinets and much more when remodeling this 2,800 square foot condo in Wilderness Country Club. BCBE then replaced these outdated components with more up-to-date items such as hardwood floors, cork floors, tile on the patio, LED lighting, AMX Audio Video System with automation control for motorized TV brackets, Lutron lighting controls for all lights and automatic shades, granite counter tops, etc., to just name a few.

BCBE opened up the kitchen so that the customer could enjoy the family room and breakfast nook area as well as the beautiful view to outside. All of the lighting is energy efficient, low profile and durable. The water is turned on and off by a single switch, giving piece of mind when the customer is out of town. BCBE also replaced the window film with 3M Low E Coating which gives a clearer glass and allows less solar heat transmitted.

What is really cool is that BCBE Construction was the original general contractor that built all of these mid-rise condo buildings inside Wilderness Country Club back in the 1970s. Now, we get to enjoy remodeling these homes and bringing them up to today's standards.
